DESCRIPTION:Arkansas Folk Singer Carolyn Carter began singing and playing music as a very small child in Arkansas. Like many folk and gospel singers\, her music began with songs she learned in church. She wrote her first songs as a teenager. \nCarolyn continued singing as a young mom while raising three children during which she won The Marlboro Country Music Contest She decided to stay home and raise her children instead of touring the country. She now lives with her husband and most fervent supporter\, Jeff Carter\, in Mountain View\, Arkansas. \nCarolyn has performed in the Ozark Mountain area of northern Arkansas for over 16 years and credits renowned Arkansas musician Odell Jackson as an early “inspiration” for her to write her stories through her own music.

DESCRIPTION:Spring River Country’s Premiere Talent Show benefitting the Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce. \nFor general information and information about being a contestant call 870-421-0131 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 2026 Spring River’s Got Talent Show will be held Sept 12 at the Civic Center. This is a singing only competition and anyone interesting in entering needs to go through an audition process of sending us a video of you singing solo without a back up band. You may have prerecorded music as back up both in the audition and at the event\, or you can play your own instrument (or have one back up guitarist or keyboardist). It is best to upload your video to website or Facebook and send us a link to: info@sracc.org.Audition Videos must be received no later than August 17. Previous contestants that did not win can enter enter by sending an email of interest. Final decisions of who will be accepted for the contest will be made by August 30. Previous contestants are not automatically approved and will be rated along with every other entry by a team of judges.(PS: Must live in Sharp\, Izzard or Fulton County)
