Hardy Homesteaders Day

Saturday, September 27, the Hardy History Association presents the 33rd annual Hardy Homesteaders Day from 9:00am to 3:00pm in Loberg Park and along Main Street. Admission and all activities are free.

This celebration of Hardy’s 1883 founding will have numerous demonstrations of traditional skills, music by nine bands and performers on four stages, children’s activities, and the tastes of open fire cooking.

Demonstrations include spinning, blacksmithing, roping, doll and candle making, butter churning, flint knapping, wood carving and woodstove and dutch oven cooking, and much more along with children’s activities and carriage rides.

There are contests for best 1883 costume, best beard, and for best ATV dressed like a mule or chuckwaggon.
