Hardy Homesteaders Day
Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Hardy History Association presents the 34th annual Hardy Homesteaders Day from 9:00am to 3:00pm in Loberg Park and along Main Street. Admission and all activities are free.
This celebration of Hardy’s 1883 founding will have numerous demonstrations of traditional skills, music by multiple bands on multiple stages, children’s activities, and the tastes of open fire cooking.
Demonstrations in most years include spinning, blacksmithing, roping, doll and candle making, butter churning, flint knapping, wood carving and woodstove and Dutch-oven cooking.
Contests will include best 1883 costume, best beard, and dress your ATV as a mule or chuckwagon. (See contest flyers below.)

Heritage Celebration at the Civic Center
Parallel to Hardy Homesteaders Day, join the Hardy Heritage Celebration at the Hardy Civic Center from 10:00 to 7:00. Free admission!
Enjoy live music, tasty food, homemade and homegrown goods, plus a special sale of historical treasures from the Hardy History Museum.
